We will confront federal policies that harm LGBTQ+ service members and veterans, advocating for reforms that protect rights, promote equality, and hold decision-makers accountable.
We will expand programs, peer networks, and mentorship opportunities to ensure LGBTQ+ military families and veterans are empowered, informed, and resilient in the face of systemic challenges.
We will mobilize LGBTQ+ service members, veterans, and allies to engage directly with policymakers, guide legislation, and push
for policies that protect our community from discrimination.

2026 is about getting back to what matters most: standing up for LGBTQ+ service members, veterans, and their families. We’re recommitting to our mission, reigniting our fight, and taking bold action to protect rights, advance equality, and strengthen our community. This year, we’re calling on every supporter, volunteer, and advocate to join us on the frontlines, because real change happens when our community leads the way.

our continued dedication
We are not stepping back from the fight against the transgender military ban. Our work focuses on securing permanent constitutional protections for trans service, supporting service members through forced separation processes, and strengthening the legal challenges led by our partners.
We are working to end discriminatory book bans, reinstate LGBTQ+ student clubs, and ensure that curriculum and learning environments reflect the full dignity and history of all students. We will continue supporting legal challenges and community advocacy to uphold students’ First Amendment rights.
our continued dedication
We are fighting the discriminatory ban on Pride flags on base and in military housing. This is a clear violation of free expression and targets LGBTQ+ service members, families, and allies. We remain committed to challenging these policies and supporting those facing unequal enforcement.
our continued dedication
We are working to end the denial of Pride events on bases and elimination Pride clubs at military academies. LGBTQ+ service members, families, and cadets deserve community and visibility. We remain committed to challenging discriminatory denials and supporting the right to gather and celebrate identity.
our continued dedication
Drag is art, culture, and community. The military’s ban on drag performances is discrimination disguised as policy. We are fighting to overturn this ban and protect the right of LGBTQ+ service members and families to celebrate identity and build belonging.
our continued dedication
We are working to remove discriminatory barriers in VA care, including coverage restrictions for male breast cancer, gender-affirming care, and abortion services. We are engaging policymakers to ensure equitable access and to reinstate Directive 1341 to safeguard dignity and rights for all veterans.

Updating military enlistment, commissioning, and promotion policies to reflect court decisions affirming that HIV+ individuals should not face barriers to service.
Training and informing recruiters and personnel so they fully understand and implement the updated policies consistently.
Introducing legislation that would codify and protect these policy updates, ensuring long-term enforcement and accountability.
Monitoring implementation to identify and correct ongoing barriers that may prevent HIV+ service members from fully serving.
Advocating for the reinstatement of care at DoD facilities and coverage under TRICARE, reversing the removals enacted in the 2025 NDAA and DHA policy updates.
Highlighting the real-world impact on military families, using stories and data to show how these policy changes reduce access to care and create a disparity between military and civilian healthcare coverage and impact on readiness and retention.
Building awareness and public support to pressure lawmakers to restore comprehensive, equitable healthcare for all military youth and adult dependents.
Advocating for the upholding of Obergefell v Hodges and the Respect for Marriage Act, ensuring marriage equality remains the law of the land.
Preparing for potential challenges to federal protections, ensuring that the marital statuses of military families are safeguarded even if federal policies change.
Advocating for the removal of outdated statutes and/or constitutional amendments in 25 states that define marriage in ways that undermine equality.
Engaging policymakers and military leadership to continue to equally protect all marriages under DoD policy.
Advocating for equitable access and TRICARE coverage to reproductive healthcare.
Ensuring policies reflect the recent court decisions, including protections and coverage under previous NDAA expansions and any future updated policies.
Continuing to collect real-world stories from families affected by gaps in coverage to highlight the inequities and drive policy improvements.
Engaging with policy and lawmakers, as well as DoD and VA administrators, to expand resources and guidance for family-building services across military installations.
