In Bipartisan Vote, House Passes Amendment to Block Transgender Military Ban

Last night, we achieved an important victory in the U.S. House of Representatives. By a vote of 243 to 183, nine Republicans joined with nearly every Democrat to pass an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) that would block the Trump-Pence administration’s unconscionable transgender military ban.

While this bipartisan vote is a major victory, we still have a lot of work to do as we work to ensure the Senate also sends a powerful message of inclusion and support to all of our nation’s modern military families. But we can’t do it alone.
